HCMT Recruitment Information
Holy Cross Mock Trial recruits new members each fall, and no prior mock trial experience is required. Students from all class years are encouraged to try out.
Recruitment has two required steps: attend one information session and complete a five-minute, in-person tryout. Tryouts include a prepared opening statement provided by HCMT and a 90-second impromptu elevator pitch on a fun topic.
Fall Recruitment 2026 at a Glance:
Info Sessions: September 14 or 17 (must attend 1 of 2)
Mock Trial & Mocktails Social: September 21 (please RSVP in advance!)
Tryouts: September 22 or 23 (must register for time slot)
Teams will be announced no later than Sunday, September 27, 2026

Come by HCMT’s table during the Co-Curricular Extravaganza from 3 to 6 pm in the Hogan Ballroom. We will have current members happy to answer any questions you may have!

New Member Info Sessions
All new members interested in trying out for HCMT must attend 1 of our 2 offered info sessions. We will cover the HCMT program, events we attend, and what being a team member involves.

Mock Trial & Mocktails Social
Meet current HCMT members over conversation, snacks, and mocktails! This optional but highly encouraged event is a great way to meet the team and learn about tryouts. Smart casual attire is recommended.
